About Me:
I began working in collision centers at age 17 during my senior year in high school. I started out cleaning cars and the shop and as I began to build rapport with the owner and technicians, I was offered an apprenticeship to learn the trade. I worked in every department, from detail to paint to body, and then parts, estimating, production management, and management.
During a hail storm, I worked a deal out with the tech who came in to handle our shop for him to show me the basics to get me started. I struggled for the first two years, I worked my tail off but just couldn't seem to connect the dots on being successful in this industry; in fact, I was working multiple jobs just to pay the bills.
Finally, I discovered that I saw myself strictly as a technician and not a business. It sounds obvious but it was such a game-changing shift in mindset for me. From that moment forward, I realized that in order for me to separate myself from the competition was to enhance my people skills.
Now, more than a dozen years later, I've transitioned into helping others in this awesome industry do the same so that they can capitalize the most from their time and enjoy a better quality of life that we all work so hard to acquire.
