Dent Reaper | Anson PDR | EdgyToolsI started in the auto body industry in 2007, I was introduced to this field from my dad who runs and owns a local Frame and Uni-body Repair shop since 1991. Seeing him transform smashed cars to once again beautiful pre-accident condition always amazed me, he taught me many things and still does to this day but one thing that has always stuck with me is: “If you’re going to do something, give it your all, do it to the absolute best of your abilities, if not, why even bother?” This thought process has been with me every since. I took all of the automotive classes I could in High School, at first thinking I would become a mechanic. After getting involved in the painting side of auto body I knew this is what I wanted to do. After High School I attended the local Southeast Technical School for auto body, going on to finish in the top of my class and landing a job at a local body shop mid way into my studies allowing me to expand my knowledge exponentially. Fresh out of tech school I remained at this shop for many years, moving from the floor sweeper to the painter of this shop. Years into this trade in 2010, I had seen see local Paintless Dent Repair Technicians come and go, some of their work was ok, some was terrible and finally I was able to see a technicians work, where for the first time in my life, I could not see any trace of any push marks or even any indication of any work had been performed. This dent had magically been erased from the panel, I was amazed at the results. I knew I had to see what this was all about and I knew right then that I wanted to do Paintless Dent Repair. After talking to that local tech, he pointed me in the direction of a tool company where I could buy these specialized magical tools. I was then invited to his shop on a few occasions after hours to practice on a hood. I was given just enough knowledge to have a very basic idea of what to do. From there I continued on my own and practiced vigorously on hoods and fenders of my own cars always trying to get a little bit better. I then started do minor dent repair jobs at the body shop I was still working at while painting full time. Then in 2014 I was offered a position to full throttle this career into my life and do Paintless Dent Repair full time, I had to jump at this once in a lifetime chance, and I did. After just about 3 years of doing PDR full time, I knew It was time for me to now go out on my own, and in 2017 I made to leap to start my own company: Sioux Falls Dent Repair. I have always loved living in Sioux Falls and will continue to service this great area!
